This product was developed in the course Product Engineering Processes, which leads students through the stages of product design, including idea generation, market research, prototype design and fabrication, user feedback, and business model development and presentation.

Our team developed a backetball retreival device to be used during shooting practice. When the user makes a shot, the ball falls downward onto a sloped platform which bounces the ball back to the player. The platform rotates to track the position of the player for more accurate returns.

The name "Pointguard" reflects the function of the point guard position on a basketball team - to pass to a player who is ready to shoot.
